Although I lived in Tennessee on and off for five years, I've never been as far as New Orleans etc. It looks so like I imagine it. I'm intrigued about the lunch stop? Believe it or not I have one in the garden. We have a high water table, and whilst it is still small (around 3 metres) it is a beautiful specimen.

The young alligator is about the right size to hold, anything bigger would be frightening to say the least...........

The story of the graveyard made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.....glad its not bedtime, I could have nightmares :)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14802468583972118464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32992882.post-53423746533429739162014-04-20T16:29:01.864+01:002014-04-20T16:29:01.864+01:00The plantations were beautiful, but I prefer the s...The plantations were beautiful, but I prefer the swamps to elegant houses. I do wonder about releasing an alligator that is use to humans. Here in Georgia it's against the law to feed alligators because once they grow use to humans as a source of food they become belligerent if it's not given. Several people have been killed here by alligators.
Glad to see you posting again.Mac n' Janethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05732924562630675589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32992882.post-36141406914089506152014-04-20T11:02:40.221+01:002014-04-20T11:02:40.221+01:00Fab post, some gorgeous scenery down south :)Fab post, some gorgeous scenery down south :)Hearthwifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01880302732876571103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32992882.post-47780452147865154752014-04-20T10:15:22.781+01:002014-04-20T10:15:22.781+01:00Such an interesting post-thank you.
