Therefore all seasons shall be sweet to thee,
Whether summer clothe the general earth
With greeness, or the redbreast sit and sing
Betwixt the tufts of snow on the bare branch
Of mossy apple-tree, while the nigh thatch
Smokes in the sun-thaw; whether the eave-drops fall
Heard only in the trances of the blast,
Or if the secret ministry of frost
Shall hang them up in silent icicles,
Quietly shining to the quiet Moon.

A New Arrival

This is Gabriel,my new little grandson, born on Tuesday afternoon. He weighed 3 pounds 13 ounces and is in intensive care but doing well. He's in an incubator so I've just taken part of the photo to put here. he's just beautiful and was very lively and responsive when I saw him yesterday, no cuddles yet though, I have to wait until he goes onto the Special Care unit for that - hopefully later today. Before that though I'm having his cousin Kaitlyn for the day while Steve and Hannah pack and prepare for their trip to Russia, they leave on Saturday for two weeks. Rather them than me, Kaitlyn is a real livewire now and I think they'll have their hands full. Should be interesting though,Steve has been wanting to go to Russia for some years.

Rowan,
Adorable, simply! I hope he continues to do well!
We had an exchange student from Russia and then had her back for another summer. She was from St. Petersburg. She works for an American Import company there now.
Her father was in Viet Nam as a Russian naval captain at the same time I was there with the US Marines. Thirty years later, two former enemies exchanged their children. He and I actually conversed on the phone And neither of us spoke too much of the others language. We did succeed in making our thoughts comprehensible.

What a blessed addition to your family. There are great things in store for him.
I was a preemie many years ago weighing 3lbs 7oz myself and made it through just fine.

Oh he is so sweet, and those big eyes. Do you know I can see a resemblance to your face in his especially around the eyes and mouth. What a beautiful name for him too.

Beautiful Baby Boy! Many wonderful times ahead as a grandmother. They are so precious. Spend lots of time holding him. They grow up way too fast. Then they are so over the hugging and cuddling. I miss it.
