Therefore all seasons shall be sweet to thee,
Whether summer clothe the general earth
With greeness, or the redbreast sit and sing
Betwixt the tufts of snow on the bare branch
Of mossy apple-tree, while the nigh thatch
Smokes in the sun-thaw; whether the eave-drops fall
Heard only in the trances of the blast,
Or if the secret ministry of frost
Shall hang them up in silent icicles,
Quietly shining to the quiet Moon.

Better News

Just a very quick update to say thank you so much for all the lovely messages that have been left for my husband and I, we do appreciate all of them very much. He is out of hospital now but still undergoing tests as an outpatient and he will eventually need to have surgery. The diagnosis is a condition that can be succesfully treated and seems not to be as nasty as I first feared though there are more tests to be done over the next few weeks. Tomorrow he is having a scan requiring a radioiodine injection followed by another one next Friday. Hopefully he will have no side effects from this but he won't be able to see our grandchildren or daughter/daughters-in-law for 3 to 4 weeks as he will be radioactive for a while and has to avoid contact with children and young women.

A happier event took place yeaterday as it was Gabriel's 1st birthday so we went over to share his birthday cake and then went to call on Jules and Matt to meet george their new ginger cat - no photos yet as he's still nervous and we didn't want to scare him.

Gabriel enjoying his birthday tea!

I still shan't be posting regularly for a while but hope to add one or two posts here and there. Thank you again for all the positive thoughts and prayers.

Rowan,

I've been checking in frequently and like others, was fearing the worst since we had not heard from you. I'm sure this is still a big upset in your lives but it sounds most positive. Your little Gabriel is adorable. What beautiful big eyes. Lots of hugs to you and yours.

I'm so glad that you have gotten relatively good news from the testing. And wish all the best, in his future treatment.

I hope you are being sure to give yourself plenty of TLC also... You too are under stress. Please do take good care of your own body, at this time.

I'm so glad he's feeling better and that you're felived too. Once you've got a diagnosis it's a good, positive step towards treatment. I hope the injection goes well and isn't too painful.

Best wishes,
Tash

Ooops, I meant to say "relieved" not "felived" but I think you get what I mean!

I just found the blog "Cat in the Kitchen, Flora in the Garden" through your blog. I loved her blog at once and she suddenly died. I want to thank you for sending me to her before her blog of beauty is gone. I wish you a speedy return to health in your family.
